Psalms 119:92 (KJV) Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

If we delight in the Word of God, GOD’s ways we will be doers of it and because of this we will not perish in our afflictions. It does not mean that we will not have afflictions but it means that GOD saves us in the end. When we are born again by the Spirit of GOD our desire is to please Jesus Christ. This desire results in us delighting in Him and His word aiming to obey it. This is not what saves us but it is a result of our salvation. “James 1:22 (KJV) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”, “James 2:26 (KJV) For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”. We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ resulting in obedience to Jesus Christ. “Ephesians 2:8-10 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Therefore let us all be encouraged today to delight ourself in there LORD and His word. “Psalms 22:8 (KJV) He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.”. If we go thought afflictions let us encourage each other and be encouraged by His word to hang in there, to keep on trusting in Jesus Christ.
