Sanctified – 2025.08.12
John 17:19 (KJV) And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
Let us be encouraged todays and know that the work that Jesus Christ did on the cross is for salvation, which included the sanctification, of those who believe in Him by being born again by the Spirit of GOD. Jesus Christ sanctified Himself so that we be sanctified. Sanctification is being set apart to/for GOD and consecrated. Jesus was already sanctified but He also consecrated Himself specifically to be the Lamb of GOD to be scarified of the cross for our sins and He did that. “John 1:29 (KJV) The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
For us sanctification is a process and this process requires the Truth with is Jesus Christ Himself. “John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”. Also the Word of God which is Jesus Christ Himself is written and spoken truth “John 1:1 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”. Just as Jesus Christ said it is that His words sanctify. “John 17:17 (NKJV) Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.”
The process of sanctification begins by faith in Jesus Christ and continues by having faith in Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus Christ results in obedience “Matthew 7:24 (KJV) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:”. As we obey the revealed Word of God we are being sanctified our actions will reflect more and more the Kingdom of God. We are being set apart of His purpose and become more useful in glorifying GOD in our life.
Therefore Let us draw near to GOD, pray, read, study, meditate on the Word of God the bible and let it transform us. “Romans 12:1-2 (KJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
