Psalms 50:5 (KJV) Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
At one of last weeks Mission Community Gatherings we looked at gathering together the first part of Gather Together, Grow Together and Go Together. Reading this verse we again see that the LORD desires that His people come together. This is so we can focus on the LORD encouraging one another, learning GOD’s ways, praying, celebrating communion, and much more.
It says here that we have a covenant with the LORD by sacrifice. Now since Jesus Christ , the lamb of GOD, gave Himself as the ultimate sacrifice for us, to pay the price for our sins, we can gather to Him because of this.
Therefore let us be encouraged to gather together as His church and saints, worshiping, celebrating Jesus Christ, encouraging one another, praying, … as the saints in the New Testament did.
“Acts 2:42 (KJV) And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
“Colossians 3:16-17 (KJV) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. [17] And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
