Joshua 1:6-9 (KJV)
6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Yesterday we where encouraged to be strong and courageous no matter what we are facing. Today let us be encouraged to come to know the bible, GOD’s word, more and more, learning to divide it correctly, that is understand and apply it the way the LORD intended. There are many deceptions around and we need to have discernment and the Holy Spirit to teach us. GOD intended for us that by knowing, remembering and applying GOD’s word in our life to build faith. “Romans 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”. By knowing GOD’s word we know what we ended to do when we face difficulties, have to make decisions, overcome the devil and our carnal nature, and live a life pleasing to GOD that will bring glory to Him.
Therefore let us incline our ear to His word, keep it close to our heart and obey what it tells us as Joshua was encouraged to do. This in turn will help us too be strong and courageous and that we will be successful in our mission here on earth.
