Joshua 6:26 (KJV) And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.

This is just one of a multitude of examples of the Word of God being proven.
What Joshua prophesied was fulfilled over at least five to six hundred years later “1 Kings 16:34 (KJV) In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun.”

Therefore let us be encouraged that the Word of God will not fail but GOD will do what the He has promised.
“Hebrews 10:23 (KJV) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”

Let us be like Abraham of whom it says “Romans 4:20 (KJV) He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;”

GOD keeps His Word, it will not fail but stand no matter what. As it is written in Psalms 83:18 (NKJV) it is so “That they may know that You, whose name alone is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth.”
