Have a blessed Christmas in Jesus Christ.
Luke 2:10-14 (KJV)
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Let us be encouraged today by the pronouncement of the angel as remember the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas Day. This has been foretold so may times in advance like here in Isaiah 9:6-7 (KJV) “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. [7] Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”
The good news from GOD proclaimed by the angel was for everyone. All people, from all nations, people great and small. The good news is that SALVATION has come through Jesus Christ who is both LORD and SAVIOUR – from the linages of David the promised Messiah.
Salvation has come because GOD showed His love, His goodwill to humanity by making the way to remedy the enmity that exists between Himself and everyone else. No one else but GOD could have or ever can do that.
“Ephesians 2:13-17 (KJV) But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. [14] For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; [15] Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; [16] And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: [17] And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.”
Let us celebrate Jesus Christ our Redeemer and give Him all the glory He deserves today and not only today but everyday.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we thank you for showing us your goodwill by sending Jesus Christ to make peace with us. We give you all the glory and thanks.
“John 14:27 (NKJV) Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
