Psalms 119:82 (KJV) Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
The Psalmist had such a hunger for the Word of GOD searching it for the answer from GOD in his time of despair. He searched for comfort till his eyes failed him.
Let us be encouraged to keep seeking Him and search His word as well for He will bring us comfort, guidance, strength, hope…..
We seek Him in prayer, in the reading of His word and gathering with our brothers and sisters. His answer may come in one or more of these ways.
“Psalms 37:19 (KJV) They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.”.
“Isaiah 50:4 (KJV) The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.”
Let us be assured that He will answer and give us what we need in the right time. “Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV) Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: [8] For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
Let us pray. Father in my time of despair I cry out to you. Show me what to do. Help me. Show me in your word what I should do and give me comfort. Help me not to give up seeking. Thank you that you have the answer, lead me to it as I search your word. I know that you said
“Matthew 5:6 (KJV) Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
I hunger for you, for you are my righteousness, I seek you out day and night. Save and comfort me. In the precious name of Jesus Christ.
