Dishonest gain – 2026.03.06

Proverbs 11:1 (KJV) A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
We have now provided links to an online bible for each quote so you can refer to a version which you prefer or can look at multiple version. The link is to the NLT as it provides easy reading for people not familiar with the bible:

Continuing on from the last two devotions:

In this proverb we see that obtaining riches by deceit is detested by GOD and as we saw it is the type of riches that therefore add sorrow to once life.
On the other hand if we work hard and earn our rewards justly it is a delight to GOD.

Therefore let us be encoraged to always work hard and do our best, being content with what we earn fairly. Let us do our work to the LORD being well pleasing to Him and not to people because GOD will reward us. “Colossians 3:23-24 (KJV) And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; [24] Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”.

Let us pray. Father forgive us if we have been dishonest. Help us to do our best and do everything as unto you, being fair and honest in everything. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
