Walking securely – 2026.03.18

Proverbs 10:9 (KJV) He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
We have now provided links to an online bible for each quote so you can refer to a version which you prefer or can look at multiple version. The link is to the NLT as it provides easy reading for people not familiar with the bible:

Let us be encouraged with this proverb to always walk in integrity (uprightly). Integrity is defined in the free dictionary as:

  1. Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code.
  2. The state of being unimpaired; soundness.
  3. The quality or condition of being whole or undivided; completeness.
    St
And the Strong concordance translates the Hebrew as: completeness; figuratively prosperity; usually (morally) innocence: – full, integrity, perfect (-ion), simplicity, upright (-ly, -ness), at a venture.

When we walk in integrity we can be confident that we will be secure, will not stumble or fall. But of we do not then the hypocrisy will be exposed. Walking in integrity is being a doer of the words of Jesus Christ. “Matthew 7:24-27 (KJV) Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: [25] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. [26] And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: [27] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.7.24-27.NLT.

Let us pray. Father we come to you in the name of Jesus Christ our LORD and Saviour. Help us always to make the right choice by obeying Your word. Lead us by your Holy Spirit. Help us to be people of our word and also not be hypocrites. Amen.
