2 Corinthians 13:11 (KJV) Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

In the final greeting of 2 Corinthians there are four things we are asked to do:

1. Be perfect (Become complete in the NKJV)
2. Be of good comfort
3. Be of one mind
4. Live in peace

This if followed by promise that Jesus Christ, who is GOD, who is love and peace will be with us.

Todays let us be encouraged by the third of these, “Be of one mind”.

Being of one mind encourages us to be in unity. Jesus Christ prayed in the garden before He was delivered up to be crucified “John 17:22 (KJV) And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:”

Jesus Christ desire is for us to be of one mind. When we are of one mind GOD commands a blessing. “Psalms 133:1-3 (KJV) A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! [2] It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; [3] As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.133.1-3

Therefore let us aim and work towards being of one mind without compromising the gospel.

What should our unified mindset be
Most importantly we are to be unified in the faith of gospel of Jesus Christ. If someone preaches a different gospel then the are in disunity with GOD and us.
“Philippians 1:27 (KJV) Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;” https://bible.com/bible/116/php.1.27

We are to be of one mind to glorify GOD.

We are all to walk in humility and obedience to Christ
“Philippians 2:5-8 (KJV) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: [6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” https://bible.com/bible/116/php.2.5-8

We are not to despise the suffering of the flesh but to embrace it in the fight against sin.

Let us pray. Father, we know Your desire is for us to be of one mind in many things pertaining to you and your gospel. You made us all so different and the unity you desire is not in uniformity but in that diversity you created. Help us to set our mind on the things above, to set our mind on Jesus Christ, to be of one mind in, being Christ centred. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
