2 Corinthians 13:11 (KJV) Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

In the final greeting of 2 Corinthians there are four things we are asked to do:

  1. Be perfect (Become complete in the NKJV)
  2. Be of good comfort
  3. Be of one mind
  4. Live in peace

This if followed by promise that Jesus Christ, who is GOD, who is love and peace will be with us.

Todays let us be encouraged by the fourth of these, “Live in peace”.

Let us be encouraged that as much as we can do to live in peace with our brothers and sisters as well as our neighbours.
“Romans 12:18 (KJV) If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” https://bible.com/bible/116/rom.12.18
One way we do this by is as it says in Romans 12:17 (KJV) “Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.” https://bible.com/bible/116/rom.12.17

Therefore let us make the decision today to always be a peacemaker and not a peace breaker.

Let us pray. Father in the name of Jesus Christ we ask you to hep us by your Holy Spirit to be peacemakers and as much as it depends on us to live at peace with those around us. It is not easy to turn the other cheek but thank you LORD that you enables us to do this when we walk in your Spirit and not in the flesh. Amen.
