Psalms 136:1-3 (NKJV)
1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever.
3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever:
Besides singing praises to the LORD GOD Almighty (see https://missioncommunities.network/2024/12/18/praise-the-lord-2024-12-18/) it is good to give thanks to Him in all circumstances “Habakkuk 3:17-19 (KJV) Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: [18] Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. [19] The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.”,“Colossians 2:6-7 (KJV) As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: [7] Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. ”. No matter what we are going through we need to really know that His mercy endures forever. His plans and ways are perfect. “Deuteronomy 32:3-4 (KJV) Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. [4] He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.”
Therefore let us be encouraged give thanks to Him when we are alone or gathered together with the church or in our conversations. “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
