Destruction of truth precedes wrath – 2024.08.07

Psalms 11:3 (KJV) If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
This is an important question. Before answering it let look at what it means in regards to the destruction of the foundation.
The Defenders Bible Commentary states “The wicked, with worldly wisdom, attack that which is foundational in the life of the righteous. For example, the truth of creation as recorded in Genesis is foundational to the rest of the Bible and to the faith and practice of the Christian. This is the primary focus of the attacks of the ungodly. The Christian is often oblivious to this critical danger. ”
We can actually expand this even more. These days are like what is written in “Isaiah 5:20-21 (KJV) Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!”.
Truth is being replaced with a lie. In the western civilisation the Christian values are being replaced with what totally opposes the. This destruction of the foundations will bring on the destruction of society and family itself and in the end resulting in GOD’s judgement and the poring out of His wrath.
What can be done about this? Well this is all predicted to happen so it cannot be avoided but it does not mean there is no hope. GOD Himself made a way of escape.
“John 3:16-21 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” If we believe, having faith in Jesus Christ, the gospel of Christ, His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins the LORD Himself will take us out before His wrath is poured out. It does not mean it will be easy until then as the foundation continue to be destroyed but we will be saved from the imminent judgement. We need to know that we are not appointed to wrath being aware of the time we live in.
For those who are already in Jesus Christ we need to keep on: trusting in the LORD, Lear the Word of God, pray, gather, stand firm, watch, hold fast, stand, be sober, not sleep, keeping on the amour of GOD and comfort each other.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 (NKJV) But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. 11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

Therefore let us comfort and edify each other, being His witness, standing firm in Him looking to Jesus Christ who I will take us home when the time comes.
