Psalms 12:6-7 (KJV)
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
The Word of God (the bible, the written down words that GOD spoke) is described here as pure, tested, reliable and the LORD GOD Himself will preserve it for eternity. His words are everlasting. By being purified seven times it means it is perfect (the number of perfection). What GOD says is true, flawless, reliable and not polluted by falsehood.
This means that we can depend on it one hundred percent.
It is there to guide us, teach us, put us on and keep us on the right path with is Jesus Christ. It is like a manual for life giving us instructions.
“2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
“Psalms 119:105 (KJV) NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” It brings us to the knowledge of GOD and then leads us in His ways by faith.”Galatians 3:24-25 (KJV) Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.” “Romans 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
The wise will read, listen to, study, meditate and practice what the word says. The wise are teachable and humble submitting themself to the Word of God. The Word of God itself is Jesus Christ “John 1:1-5 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” …. “John 1:14 (KJV) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
What does the Word of God Jesus Christ say? “Mark 1:15 (KJV) And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
Let us all know and understand that GOD wants us to believe in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection, turn to Him and walk in His ways. Following Jesus, the Word of God, brings life but rejecting it death. “John 10:9-11 (KJV) I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”
“John 3:16-21 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”
