Psalms 119:45 (KJV) And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

Many people think that being a follower of Jesus Christ (a Christan) means one looses freedom. In reality it is the opposite. In the world people are bound up in sin, have addictions, are in a pursuit of things that give short time pleasure but in the end will fail and not satisfy. It is like chasing after the wind. “Ecclesiastes 5:16 (KJV) And this also is a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind?”

Let us be encouraged and know that wen we come to Jesus Christ we come to be set free – we have liberty. “Luke 4:18 (KJV) The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”. See do not enter a Kingdom do not but of do. GOD has set boundaries to protect us from sin and the bondage it brings. Within we that we are totally free but when we venture outside we find we come back into bondage. “Galatians 5:1 (KJV) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”.

Let us not again be entangled into the bondage sin brings but keep walking in the liberty that Jesus Christ paid the price for on the cross. One thing the LORD provided for us is His word – His precepts. When we seek to know them and follow them we will discover how we can walk in the liberty Jesus Christ has provided.

Let us pray. Father we thank you for sending Jesus Christ and Jesus we thank you for paying the price for us that we might be free from the law of sin and death and have eternal life with you if we believe in you and stand in the liberty you have provided for us.
We believe in you and ask you by the Holy Spirit to empower us to walk in liberty. Help us to seek your ways – precepts – and walk in them every day. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
