Principles in the Kingdom of God – 2026.01.02

Luke 17:33 (KJV) Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

In the Kingdom of God thinks work differently than in the word. When we are born again we become citizens of heaven and not we live under a totally different rule set.

What Jesus Christ said here in Luke 17:33 is one example of this. Salvation comes by surrendering our life to Jesus Christ not trying to keep it for ourself. The difference is now GOD is doing the saving instead of us trying to save ourself (which from an eternal perspective is impossible though many try).

So when we start to grow in the Kingdom of God there are things that we are used to in the word that we need to unlearn and then learn how it is in the Kingdom of God.

Here is another example. “Luke 6:38 (KJV) Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” One day we might talk about it more.

But today let us be encouraged to seek doing things GOD’s way instead of the worlds and to totally surrender our life to Him, putting our trust in Him, letting Him do the saving instead of ourself and the end result will be that we will be with Him for eternity. In other words die to self and live for Jesus Christ.

Let us pray. LORD Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I give myself to you. I now belong to you and not to myself anymore. Teach me your ways and help me to walk in them. I know I can trust you because your word never fails and your thoughts to me are for good. “Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Amen
