Let’s not complain and dispute – 2026.06.17

Philippians 2:14-16 (KJV)
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

We live in a degenerate world. Instead of letting the word influence us we are instead to let Jesus Christ influence us and let His light shine.

Here it instructs not to make complaints of one another and not having disputes in the church. This shows lack, unity, of love for one another and for GOD. Complaints and disputes happen when people are proud and selfish, walking in the flesh as it states in Philippians 2:21 (KJV) “For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.”. https://bible.com/bible/116/php.2.21

Therefore let us be encouraged to live in a way that brings glory to GOD and not defame Him. People see us, His representatives, and their option is formed about GOD what they see in the life of His people. Let us therefore endeavour to instead of complaint, to honour one another, to give praise where praise is due, to endeavour to maintain the unity in the body of Christ without compromising the Truth.
“Romans 12:10 (KJV) Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;” https://bible.com/bible/116/rom.12.10
“Romans 12:18 (KJV) If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” https://bible.com/bible/116/rom.12.18

Let us pray. Father, we ask you to forgive us for all the complaint and disputing we have done especially in the body of Christ. This is not your way. Instead help us by the power of the Holy Spirit to live a live that glorifies You by honouring you. Help us to give honour where honour is due, to bless instead of curse, to give preference to one another, to love, give preference to each other instead of just looking after ourself, to bring unity instead of disunity by not causing contention and disputes. We also in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
