The good news is free – 2026.05.19

1 Corinthians 9:18 (KJV) What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

The good news is for free. We have received our salvation freely not by works and effort paying for it ourself but by having faith in Jesus Christ.
Paul mentioned he does not ask for money in return for preaching the good news not only to be a blessing but to also avoid the abuse of power.

Because of this let us be encouraged to share the good news freely.
“Matthew 10:7-8 (KJV) And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. [8] Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”. https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.10.7-8
Therefore let us freely and generously use our gifts and share what the LORD has taught us to others without expecting anything in return expect obedience to Jesus of those who receive.

Let us pray. Father, thank you so much for saving us, help us to let our light shine and be the salt of the earth that others might taste of your goodness and will follow you. Help us to freely use your gifts and share your word to do your work according to
“Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”. https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.28.19-20
In the name of Jesus Christ, our LORD and Saviour. Amen.
