Proverbs 30:7-9 (KJV)
7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

Let us be encouraged with this prayer to have the same attitude. The LORD wants us to be content in everything, if we have little or much. He is the one who supplies all our needs. Let our desire be that our life will not bring discredit to the LORD who loves us so much.
The trait of vanity has two sides one is pride, hypocritical, and being conceited the other being worthless and a having a pointless life. Both are not what the LORD has planned for us. He has a purpose and future for us and wants us to walk in truth.
“Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Jesus Christ is the truth and we are to walk in Him.
“John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

“3 John 1:4 (KJV) I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”

Therefore, let us discover GOD’s purpose for our life as we draw near to Him and walk in truth, humility, being modest and selfless. Let our life glorify His wonderful name.
Let us pray Proverbs 30:7-9 now in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
