Ephesians 2:19 (KJV) Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross those who believe in Him have this great promise.
Therefore let us who believe in Jesus Christ, the work on the cross, His resurrection and ascension be encouraged that we are part of GOD’s household and citizens in the Kingdom of God. With this comes a responsibility to abide by the ways of this new family and Kingdom and to be a good representative as His ambassadors, as it says in 2 Corinthians 5:20 (KJV) “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”.

Let us pray. Father we thank you for Jesus Christ and His work on the cross for us and that You have made us part of Your family and that we became citizens of Your Kingdom. It is not because of anything we could have done but by your grace alone You made this possible. Please help us to be good representatives of You. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
