Acts 17:24-31 (WEB)
24 The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn’t dwell in temples made with hands,
25 neither is he served by men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things.
26 He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings,
27 that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.
28 ‘For in him we live, and move, and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’
29 Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold, or silver, or stone, engraved by art and design of man.
30 The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent,
31 because he has appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he has ordained; of which he has given assurance to all men, in that he has raised him from the dead.”

Here is a contemplation on the grace of Jesus Christ from someone anonymous.

Every day is a testimony of the sustaining grace of Jesus Christ.

Before we rise, His mercy has already met us. Before we face the challenges of the day, His strength is already surrounding us. Every moment we live is evidence that we are not carried by our own wisdom, strength, or ability, but by the faithful hands of our Saviour.

Yesterday’s grace was enough for yesterday.

Today’s grace is sufficient for today.

Tomorrow’s grace is already waiting within His perfect plan.

Every breath reminds us that God is still faithful.

Every sunrise declares that His mercies are new.

Every step reveals that His presence has never left us.

We are not sustained because life is easy.

We are sustained because Jesus is faithful.

Through seasons of joy and seasons of trial, through answered prayers and waiting seasons, through moments of clarity and moments of uncertainty, Christ remains our constant foundation.

The world may change.

Circumstances may shift.

Human strength may fail.

But Jesus Christ remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Our greatest testimony is not that we have survived by our own strength.

Our greatest testimony is that Christ has carried us, kept us, strengthened us, and brought us this far by His amazing grace.

Every day is a reminder:

Jesus is faithful.

Jesus is sufficient.

Jesus is our life.

Before we ever lift our eyes toward Him, His eyes are already upon us. Before we take our next step, His grace has already gone before us. Our lives are not held together by chance, circumstances, or our own strength.

We are held by Christ.

We are not carrying life by our own ability.

Christ is carrying us.

Every breath is mercy.

Every morning is grace.

Every moment is a gift from His faithful hand.

Every step we take is sustained by His unfailing love.

Our confidence is not found in what we can accomplish.

Our hope is not built upon our own strength.

Our lives are sustained by Jesus Christ alone.

He is the Author of our faith.

He is the Sustainer of our journey.

He is the Anchor of our souls.

He is the Finisher of our hope.

“Hebrews 12:2 (WEB) looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Jesus possesses all authority.

He is the source of all power.

“Matthew 28:18 (WEB) Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.”

His hands hold the hearts of His people.

The King of glory is not distant.

He draws near.

He walks with the weary.

He strengthens the discouraged.

He restores the broken.

He gives hope to those who feel empty.

The perfect King chooses ordinary people.

He calls the imperfect.

He strengthens the weak.

He lifts the fallen.

He uses the unlikely.

The Kingdom of God does not advance through human greatness, human wisdom, or human achievement.

It advances through surrendered hearts where Jesus reigns.

God is looking for people who are willing to say:

“Lord, not my will, but Yours be done.”

We are not called to admire Christ from a distance.

We are invited into a life transformed by His presence.

The goal is not simply becoming a better version of ourselves.

The goal is becoming more like Jesus.

Not more of me.

More of Christ.

“Galatians 2:20 (WEB) I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.”

When Christ takes His rightful place at the centre, everything begins to change.

He brings peace that the world cannot create.

He gives strength that human effort cannot produce.

He gives joy that circumstances cannot destroy.

His presence becomes greater than our problems.

His promises become stronger than our fears.

His faithfulness becomes deeper than our trials.

We are called to reveal Jesus.

A world searching for hope does not need empty words.

It needs to see the love, mercy, and reality of Christ through lives completely surrendered to Him.

Let His Word shape your thoughts.

Let His love transform your heart.

Let His Spirit guide your decisions.

Let His presence become your greatest desire.

Jesus lived in perfect communion with the Father.

He spoke what the Father spoke.

He did what the Father revealed.

He trusted the Father completely.

His obedience flowed from love.

And this is our calling:

Not independence from God.

Complete dependence upon Him.

The cross remains forever the greatest revelation of God’s heart.

There we see the holy Son of God willingly giving Himself for sinners who could never save themselves.

The hands that created the heavens were stretched out upon the cross to redeem us.

The One who deserved all glory chose suffering so that we could receive mercy.

The empty tomb declares:

Sin is defeated.

Death is conquered.

The grave is powerless.

The King is alive.

The greatest miracle is a transformed heart.

Only Jesus can take a heart of stone and make it alive.

“Ezekiel 36:26-27 (WEB) I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. [27] I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. You will keep my ordinances and do them.”

The days ahead may bring uncertainty.

Jesus warned of deception, pride, selfishness, and hearts growing cold.

“Matthew 24:10-13 (WEB) Then many will stumble, and will deliver up one another, and will hate one another. [11] Many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray. [12] Because iniquity will be multiplied, the love of many will grow cold. [13] But he who endures to the end, the same will be saved.”

But His people are not called to live in fear.

They are called to stand in faith.

They are called to shine with the light of Christ.

Our hope is not in governments.

Our hope is not in systems.

Our hope is not in wealth, influence, or human strength.

Our hope is in the unchanging King.

The world may reject Him.

The culture may oppose Him.

The future may appear uncertain.

But Jesus remains Lord.

He remains faithful.

He remains victorious.

He remains worthy.

He remains forever.

He has all authority.

He sustains every believer.

He transforms weakness into testimony.

He calls His people to faithfulness.

He is the Beginning and the End.

“Lord Jesus, be the centre of my life. Let my thoughts reflect Your truth, my words reveal Your grace, my hands demonstrate Your love, and my whole life declare Your glory.”

May every day depend upon You.

May every step follow You.

May every breath worship You.

Because Jesus Christ is not merely part of my life.

Jesus Christ is my life.

He is my Lord.

He is my Saviour.

He is my Shepherd.

He is my everything.

Christ is not merely the helper of our lives.

He is the foundation, the source, the purpose, and the fullness of everything.

Jesus Christ is Lord forever.”
