Proverbs 28:20 (KJV) A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

Here we have two approaches of trying to receive blessings like wealth.
If we want to get rich quickly we will end up in trouble as we will be lured in by the promises of get rich schemes. We are blinded by the wealth that is promised in a short time and possibly with little effort.

Do not fall for this but instead let us be encouraged not to set our heart on realty riches as the love of money will only bring trouble. “1 Timothy 6:10 (KJV) For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” https://bible.com/bible/116/1ti.6.10. Instead let us be encouraged to be faithful in whatever we put our hand to, working hard not to please people but as to working for Jesus Christ in our secular work or business. “Colossians 3:23 (KJV) And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”. https://bible.com/bible/116/col.3.23. When we do this GOD will bless us both here on earth and in heaven.

Let us pray. Father forgive me of setting my heart on riches. Help me to set my heart on You and Your Kingdom doing things your way. Let me be rich in you and not in a worldly sense. Help me that whatsoever I do, I will do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; In Jesus name. Amen.
