Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV)
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Wherever we sow is where there will be a harvest. This is a principle the LORD established. The more we sow to the flesh the more we will harvest fruits of carnality but the more we sow to the Spirit the more we harvest fruit of the Spirit.

Let us be encouraged today to sow to the Spirit and not the flesh. This is how we walk in the Spirit.
“Galatians 5:25 (KJV) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

“Galatians 5:16-18 (KJV) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. [17] For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. [18] But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.” https://bible.com/bible/116/gal.5.16-18

Sowing here has to do with what we spend our time on, What input we decide to take in and what are the things we do. The more we do something the more we sow into that thing and it will occupy our mind more and more. If we replace a fleshly activity and thoughts with an activity and thoughts that the Holy Spirit want us to engage in and we do this more and more we are increasingly slowing to the Spirit.

In Galatians 5:19-23 Paul gives us a good comparison of what both type of sowing is and to what we should be sowing:
“(KJV) Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, [20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, [21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. [22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, [23] Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Let us pray. Father we ask you in the precious name of Jesus Christ that to forgive us from sowing into the flesh and any of the activities we engaged in action or thought. Give us the grace to overcome and to sow to the Spirit by thinking and doing whatever brings about: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Amen.
