Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Having a vision/divine guidance/revelation from the LORD for the purpose of one’s life is so important. The impact of a lack of vision in the KJV is rendered perish, in other version it is rendered cast off restraint. Without knowing GOD’s purpose for one’s life one will start to wander aimlessly, there is no discipline, sin can creep in, one misses the mark.
Therefore let us be encourage to seek the LORD to reveal to us what He has called us to and for. As we prayerfully study the Word of God we will discover bit by bit what the LORD has for us in this life.
He has prepared it all for us already.
“Ephesians 2:10 (KJV) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

He has chosen us Right from the beginning, He wants us to know His will and it is a great pleasure to Him for us to know His will for our life.
“Ephesians 1:3-9 (KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: [4] According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: [5] Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, [6] To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. [7] In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; [8] Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; [9] Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:”

In the next devotion we will look into this more.
Let us pray. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask you to lead us in your ways, show us the vision, purpose, calling you have for each one of us as individuals and together as Your church. Amen.
