Mark 9:42 (KJV) And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

We need to endeavour not to cause offence to our bothers and sisters in faith or take offence by what our brothers and sisters in faith do.
For example we are not to do something that we think is ok but will offend them.
“1 Corinthians 8:13 (KJV) Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.”. https://bible.com/bible/116/1co.8.13
On the other hand we are to forgive and not take offence either. This protects us from the schemes of the enemy who wants to be offended to cause conflict, and break the unity. “1 Peter 4:8 (ASV) above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:”. https://bible.com/bible/116/1pe.4.8
“Proverbs 15:1 (KJV) A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.” https://bible.com/bible/116/pro.15.1
Have a look at “https://missioncommunities.network/2026/03/12/how-to-respond-to-anger-2025-03-12/” on how to respond to anger.
The LORD wants us to resolve these things, in love, when we sin against one another.
“Matthew 18:15-17 (KJV) Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. [16] But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. [17] And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.” https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.18.15-17
“Luke 17:3-4 (KJV) Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. [4] And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.” https://bible.com/bible/116/luk.17.3-4
Let us pray. Father we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You hep us not to cause offence or be offended. If it happens help us to love, help one another, forgive and to cause reconciliation, not letting the enemy divide Your church. Amen.
