Hebrews 13:8 (WEB) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Here is a contemplation from someone anonymous.
There are seasons when heaven seems silent. We pray, but seemingly nothing moves, and we whisper, “Jesus, where are You?”
“Yet silence is not absence. “
God may be working where our eyes cannot see.
Look at Joseph. He received a dream, then came the pit, slavery, false accusation and prison. Yet “the word of the LORD tested him.” The pit could not bury God’s purpose. The prison could not cancel God’s promise. Through every season, God was with him.
Maybe we don’t understand what He is doing, but we know who He is.
- People may disappoint us.
- Doors may close.
- Dreams may be delayed.
- Failure, rejection and pain may com
But circumstances cannot take Christ from us.
If we have Jesus, we still have grace, mercy, forgiveness and hope.
Look at the cross. Jesus carried our sin, died, and rose again. The empty tomb declares that death does not have the final word. Neither does failure, rejection, our past or our pain.
Jesus has the final word.
- When you are weary, look to Christ.
- When confused, seek Christ.
- When fallen, return to Christ.
- When you cannot see the road, trust the Shepherd who knows the way.
- The night may be long, but God holds the morning.
- The storm may be fierce, but Christ is still in the boat.
- The fire may be hot, but you are not alone.
Don’t let yesterday imprison tomorrow. Bring your wounds, fears, regrets and dreams to Jesus.
He is not finished with you.
Perhaps we are asking for the blessing when God is inviting us to know the Blesser. Perhaps we want the miracle when Christ Himself is the greater miracle.
So lift your eyes. Stand again. Pray again. Trust again—not because you are strong, but because He is faithful.
And when everything else is stripped away, may we discover that the greatest treasure was never the blessing.
It was always Jesus.
- Our hope.
- Our peace.
- Our strength.
- Our forgiveness.
- Our Redeemer.
Yesterday, today and forever—
Jesus is enough. 🙏♥️
